Stephane Chatel Appointed Quality and Food Safety Vice-President at Lactalis Canada

Jennifer Boyles, Lactalis Canada’s current vice-president of quality assurance is retiring next month, and taking over is Stephane Chatel. In his new role, Chatel will supervise the planning, management and execution of all quality management, quality control and food safety activities within Lactalis Canada.

“I am thrilled to share that I joined Lactalis Canada as Quality and Food Safety Vice-President,” Stephane Chatel announced on his LinkedIn.

He was most recently VP of quality and food safety for Weston Foods, whom he mentioned in the post. “I want to thank my incredible colleagues at (legacy) Weston Foods I had the privilege to work with. What a journey,” he said. 

Before his time at Weston Foods, Chatel worked for Danone Canada as president quality, food safety and crisis management, and also spent over two decades in France with Danone. While in France he worked in many areas of the company including plant quality, food safety and environmental director, and manufacturing quality director.
